Why Bronze
Bronze is known for its superior corrosion resistance, durability, and wear resistance. Bronze forgings compete directly with tin-bronze and nickel-tin bronze castings in structural bearing applications, where strength and bearing properties are primary considerations. The superior strength of Mueller bronze forgings is due in large part to their uniform, dense grain structure which has none of the micro-shrinkage, voids or inclusions common to bronze castings. Mueller Forgings Co. offers its customers versatility with its bronze portfolio.
Engineering Excellence in Bronze Forgings
Along with Brass, Mueller Forgings Co. has extensive history, knowledge, and expertise in producing bronze forgings for a variety of applications in different markets. In 1925, Mueller Brass Co. and Mueller Brass Forgings Co. were on the forefront of developing bronze alloys for the growing need for a material which combined high strength and hardness of the copper-zinc alloys with the bearing properties of the tin bronzes. Our research led to the development of Mueller's famous "600-series Forgeable Bearing Alloys," now known as Dynalloy.
