Metallurgical Analysis

Mueller’s Metallurgical Laboratory, located on the Port Huron, Michigan campus, primarily works with its industrial metals business units within Michigan. But it also supports the entire Mueller Industries family when called upon. With more than a century of combined metallurgical experience, along with the most advanced technology available for our industry, Mueller can continue to ensure that our customers receive the quality product they have come to expect. Below is an explanation of some of the areas of testing and technology in use at Mueller.

Mueller uses industry-leading laboratory equipment, including a JOEL Scanning Electron Microscope and XRF (X-ray fluorescence spectrometer). This provides valuable analytical services and helps maintain strict quality control. The handheld XRF Analyzer, used by our 24/7 onsite quality team, ensures that the correct material is shipped to customers. Our metallurgical Lab, with its extensive testing capabilities and high certifications, operates independently to build trust with our customers and external users of our products.
